Easy to Deploy
Open Standards: Inter•Sight PublishWorks™ is based on
open standards and can be hosted equally well on external
web servers or inside the firewall on corporate LANs. With
secure access to the servers via SSH or a VPN, Inter•Sight
can remotely maintain its applications and troubleshoot any problems.
PublishWorks™ can integrate directly with ERP systems
(SAP, PeopleSoft/J.D. Edwards and others), with
SQL databases (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, DB2, Informix and others)
and with any Enterprise Content Managment or Digital Asset Management
system (Interwoven/MediaBin, Stellent, Webware and others).
Server Platforms: The PublishWorks™ page building server is usually hosted
on an Apple dual-processor XServe, running Mac OS X Server, but
the web application and database portions of the application
can easily be hosted on any Windows 2000/XP, Unix or Linux platform.
PublishWorks™ communicates to ECM or DAM software via industry
standard XML-based web services. Finally, Inter•Sight designed
PublishWorks™ to cluster behind a fault-tolerant, transaction-based load-balancer to
accommodate large numbers of simultaneous users.
